The challenge

Hospital laundry is infection-control infrastructure. Linen must move through a hygienic workflow, soiled and clean streams separated, at the volumes a working hospital generates every day.

What the programme covered

The programme scope paired the buildings with the laundry equipment inside them, placing purpose-built facilities alongside horizontal and vertical washing machines, hydro extractors, dry-cleaning machines, ironing lines and stain-removal equipment, repeated across twelve district, regional and teaching hospital sites in Ghana.

The engagement context

Hospital laundry capacity of this kind is designed to strengthen infection control, operational efficiency and healthcare support services at each participating hospital.
